Cookie Policy
Session cookies and local drafts used by TriviaBeam.
Host sessions
Signing in with Google creates a necessary authentication cookie. It lets the server recognize the host and protect private boards and host controls. Signing out ends the current host session.
Player sessions
Joining a room creates a necessary room credential in the browser. The server uses it to recognize the same guest after refresh and prevent another guest from submitting as that team. Removing this credential can make your previous team session unrecoverable.
Local preferences and drafts
The browser may store theme preferences and unsaved editor drafts. These improve the editing experience but are not a replacement for saving a board to your account. Shared computers should have their local site data cleared after use.
Product analytics
We set one first-party cookie, tb_aid, holding a random visitor identifier (also kept in local storage). It lets our own analytics count steps such as visiting, signing up, hosting a game and upgrading without third-party advertising trackers. It lasts up to one year and is never shared with advertisers. Page views are also counted by a cookieless Plausible script from our analytics host. See the privacy policy for what is recorded.
Your controls
You can delete or block cookies and site storage through your browser. Blocking essential cookies can prevent Google sign-in, room joining or session recovery. For help, contact support@triviabeam.com.
