Terms of Use

Rules for hosts and guests using TriviaBeam, including paid plans.

The service

TriviaBeam lets hosts create Jeopardy-style quiz boards and run browser-based group games. We improve the service continuously, so features and limits may change. We work to keep live rooms reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service; for important events, keep a copy of your board and scores.

Plans and billing

The Free plan allows rooms of up to 5 teams. Pro allows rooms of up to 100 teams and is sold monthly or yearly; Lifetime is a single payment for Pro features for as long as TriviaBeam operates the service. Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, where applicable taxes are calculated. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. If something went wrong with a purchase, contact support@triviabeam.com within 14 days and we will review a refund; this does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Accounts and room access

Hosts use Google sign-in and are responsible for their account and the games they run. Guests join with a room code and a team name. Keep host credentials private. Sharing a room code grants access to that room's audience view; do not use a public game as a confidential communication channel. Attempts to impersonate another host or player, alter other users' content, or overload rooms are prohibited.

Your content

You retain rights to the original content you upload or write. You allow the service to store, process and display that content to provide your saved boards and hosted games. You are responsible for the rights to any images, music, video or question material you supply. Publicly accessible material is not automatically licensed for copying or redistribution.

Questions, scoring and hosting

Review clues and accepted answers before hosting. Starter questions are provided to help prepare an event and may need adjustment for audience, region or difficulty. Hosts control scoring decisions and can correct a result. Automated matching is an aid and may not recognize every valid answer. Internet connections and device performance can affect buzz order; the service does not promise competitive timing fairness across different networks.

Appropriate use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, collecting sensitive information through game answers or distributing content you are not permitted to share. Wagers in the game are points only; the service must not be used for gambling or real-money wagering.

Availability and recovery

Online play requires a working connection. Save boards before your event and prepare an alternative plan if the venue loses internet access. A restored connection may recover the current room state, but it cannot guarantee that an answer submitted while offline will meet the original deadline.

Independence

TriviaBeam is an independent project. References to Jeopardy-style gameplay describe a category-and-points quiz format. The service is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the producers or owners of Jeopardy! or TriviaFlow. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners.
